Suspect Wanted in Kidnapping, Robbery Case
Friday, May 20, 2011

FOREST ACRES, SC (WLTX) - Authorities in Forest Acres are searching for a man they say forced another person to drive to an ATM and give him money.

Officials from the Forest Acres Police Department say 42-year-old Donald Allen Kelly approached a home in the Laureate subdivision off of Forest Drive at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. After convincing the resident he needed help, Kelly got in the truck with the man and pulled a knife.

Officials say Kelly then forced the man to drive to a local automated teller machine and withdraw money. However, after the victim removed the money, he was able to drive safely away in his truck.

If you have any information on Kelly's whereabouts or the incident, you can anonymously contact Crimestoppers by calling 1-888-CRIME-SC, by texting "TIPSC" plus your message to CRIMES (274637), or by reporting a tip online at www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.
