Suspect Sought In Aiken Vehicle Theft

AIKEN, SC - Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) investigators are searching for a suspect in a Sunday vehcile theft.

Sergeat Arron Dowdy tells us the vehicle theft occurred Sunday at 6:10 p.m at 324 Richland Avenue East (a local gas station) in Aiken.

The vehicle was found wrecked a short time later on McCormick Street in Aiken. A witness near the collision described the driver as the same individual that is pictured. The suspect appears to be in his mid-20's and was wearing a large white t-shirt with the words “Just Do It” on the front.

ADPS is asking for the assistance of the public in identifying this suspect. Callers can call the Aiken Department of Public Safety at 642-7620. Callers may remain anonymous and can also call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 1-888-CRIME-SC or send their tip to www.sccrimestoppers.com.
