Suspect arrested for attempted murder, charges amended - woman charged with filing false report‏
Saturday, May 21, 2011

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC - Sheriff Leon Lott states that on May 13, 2011 Quintin Wallace fired a handgun into a vehicle located at 3563 Humphrey Drive and then fled the scene. When Deputies arrived Shakira Lyles told Deputies that she and her three year old brother were in the car at the time of the shooting and that Wallace shot at her over an ongoing dispute they were having.

Sheriff Leon Lott states that on May 17, 2011 Wallace turned himself in to investigators on charges of Attempted Murder. The Sheriff added that investigators re-interviewed Lyles (DOB 11-20-91), and interviewed Wallace, determining that Lyles had lied about being in the car.

Sheriff Leon Lott added that investigators have amended Wallace’s charges to malicious injury to personal property and unlawful carry of a pistol and that Lyles was arrested on May 20, 2011 on charges of filing a false police report which is a felony.
