Officers Say Look Out for "Suspicious" Vehicles
Thursday, May 26, 2011

COLUMBIA, SC (WLTX) -- Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding two vehicles they say may help them find information connected to burglaries in the Capital City.

Officers with the Columbia Police Department are searching for a older model black pickup truck with a loud muffler driven by a black man with dreadlocks. Also, police are searching for a dark gold mid-size sedan carrying three men and a woman, with a possible license tag of GMN 334.

According to officers, there is no direct link to any burglaries in the area, but police say they consider the cars "vehicles of interest."

You are urged to call 911, or at 1-888-CRIME-SC or text "TIPSC" and your message to "CRIMES" if you see the vehicles. If the information you provide to CrimeStoppers leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
