Harbison area restaurant robbed again
Wednesday, May 25, 2011

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Police are looking for three men who robbed a restaurant on Bower Parkway Wednesday morning. The same restaurant was robbed in January.

Police were called to Wild Wing on Bower Parkway at 9:00 a.m. Investigators say three armed men forced their way into the restaurant and demanded an employee open the safe. The men took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

Nobody was injured in this most recent incident. Wednesday's robbery is similar to a robbery in January in which two armed men forced their way into the restaurant around 9:00 in the morning and also got away with money.

In October, Copper River Grill was also robbed by three armed men. The incident happened at closing time.

The restaurants are just doors away from each other near the Columbiana Grande Cinemas. Police have not said if they believe the three robberies are linked.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating. If you know anything about either incident, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
