Duncan Woman Missing

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (May 24, 2011) On May 24, 2011 the Spartanburg Public Safety Department was notified of a missing woman who was last seen in Spartanburg. The woman has not been seen by family or friends since 10:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011.

On May 23, family members reported Evelyn A. Shelton, B/F, HT 5’2”, WT 140 lbs., black hair, brown eyes of 600 Tralee Drive, Apartment 38, Duncan, SC 39334-8529, missing. The report was initially filed with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office determined that the woman was last seen around 10 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at 255 N. Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC. Ms. Shelton’s car was found at a location in Spartanburg County.

After being notified that the woman was last seen in the city of Spartanburg, the Spartanburg Public Safety Department initiated an investigation. Investigators with the Spartanburg Public Safety Department are seeking information on Ms. Shelton’s whereabouts. Anyone with information as to the location of Evelyn Shelton or who has seen or talked with Ms. Shelton since Friday, May 20, is asked to contact the Spartanburg Public Safety Department at 864-596-2065.
