COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Deputies are looking for a duo who stole a purse from a car parked at a Midlands Mall.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for the community's assistance in locating two people wanted in the crime. Lott said the incident happened around 9:15 a.m. on May 2 at the Columbia Place Mall on Two Notch Road.

Surveillance footage from the mall captured the two suspects opening the victim's car door and stealing her purse. The victim said she left her purse on the front seat of her car and went into the mall.

The suspects were seen driving a newer model compact vehicle, possibly silver in color.

The driver is described as a male in his 20's, standing over 6' tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white short sleeve plain T-Shirt, black shorts, black sneakers, and a black ball cap.

The second suspect is a female in her 20's, thin petite build, well groomed, wearing a light or powder blue dress with matching tights, and a low cut neckline.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspects should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
