Murder Suspect Wanted in Richland County
Thursday, April 28, 2011

Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Deputies are asking for the public's help in finding a 21-year-old man they say shot and killed another man on the night of April 11 on Winterwood Road.

That's located off of Monticello Road in Richland County.

Richland County sheriff's deputies are searching for Wayne Lamar Mobley, and they say they will charge him with murder when he is arrested.

Investigators say sometime before 10:20 that night, Mobley shot Bobby Edwards Jr. When deputies responded to the scene, they found Edwards on a bed, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body.

A witness told deputies say Edwards ran into the home complaining of the gun shots before he fell onto the bed, deputies say. Investigators say witnesses led them to Mobley.

If you can help deputies find the murder suspect, you are urged to call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at 1-888-CRIME-SC or text a tip to "CRIMES" beginning with the term "TIPSC." If the information you provide leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
