Columbia Police seek community’s help in identifying two robbery suspects
Monday, April 25, 2011

COLUMBIA, SC - Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying and locating two robbery suspects. On April 22nd 2011, at approximately 11:48am, the NBSC bank located at 2401 Devine St was robbed by two men who were wearing masks. One of the men who acted as a lookout was wearing grey coveralls and a dark colored mask over his head that had no holes cut out for the mouth or eyes. The other man was wearing dark colored coveralls with white sneakers, dark colored (possibly green) gloves, and a red mask that covered his entire head with no holes cut out for the eyes or mouth. They were last seen getting into a dark grey in color, four door, small compact vehicle, which was used to flee the scene.

Chief Scott states as the suspects were fleeing the scene in their vehicle, a dye pack exploded which caused red dye to envelop the entire interior of the vehicle where the suspects were seated. No guns or weapons were seen during the commission of this robbery. The vehicle was last seen traveling on Meadow St from Devine St towards Cypress St after the robbery. A witness observed a partial tag on the vehicle. Investigators believe the tag to be from NC and begin with WWT. The WWT should be in red letters. If you have any information that could assist the Columbia Police Department please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Crime SC.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
