Columbia Police asking for the community’s help in identifying suspects in vehicle break-ins

COLUMBIA, SC - Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott is asking for the community’s assistance on identifying person(s) responsible for breaking into four vehicles and stealing various equipment and tools from Snipes Electric Company.

Chief Scott stated that between 4:45 p.m., March 30th and 6:30 a.m. today (March 31st) unknown suspect(s) forced open a gate to a fence at Snipes Electric Company (906 S. Edisto Ave) and broke into four of the business’s vehicles by busting out the windows. The vehicles contained various power tools and equipment that the victim valued at approximately $9,000.
