Woman Finds 2 Men In Home; Search On For Burglars

GREENWOOD COUNTY, SC (WYFF 4.com) - Deputies are looking for two burglars who broke into a home, and then knocked down the homeowner as they made their escape.

Greenwood County sheriff's deputies searched for the burglars in the Hodges area Friday evening.

Maj. John Murray said at around 3 p.m. Friday, a woman came home and found two men inside her home.

Murray said the men knocked the woman down and ran out of the house. Murray said the woman is OK.

Deputies and bloodhound tracking teams searched the area around Highway 25 North near SC 246 for more than three hours, but were unable to find the burglars.

Deputies ask anyone who was in the area near Highway 25 and the Hodges water tower to call in tips to CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
