Columbia Police Department and Fast Forward offer free internet safety course
Thursday, March 17, 2011

Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott encourages the Columbia community to take part in a free internet safety course that is being offered through the collaboration of the Columbia Police Department and Fast Forward.

On Tuesday, March 22nd from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Fast Forward will host an internet safety course along with members of the Columbia Police Department to provide assistance and answers to questions from those who attend the class. The course will be held at Fast Forward (3223 Devine Street, Suite 3).

Chief Scott stated internet crimes are more prevalent as citizens and businesses rely on the internet for commerce and personal networking each day; this is why internet safety classes such as the one Fast Forward offers free to the community are so valuable.

Chief Scott encourages the Columbia community to contact Fast Forward at 803-343-2577 or visit their website at www.fastforwardctc.com to register or to obtain more information.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
