North Augusta Shooting Suspect Identified

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - North Augusta Public Safety Detectives have obtained warrants for David Lee Johnson (pictured right) on charges of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime (stemming from the shooting at Carpenter’s Exxon on February 17th) as a result of developing information implicating him as the “shooter”.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety is asking that anyone having information of the whereabouts of David Lee Johnson to please call (803) 279-2121 or Crimestoppers at 1888 Crime SC (274-6372). Text your tip to “TIPSC” plus your message to CRIMES 274637.

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.
