Police seek bank robber who didn't get away with much

ORANGEBURG, SC - Police are looking for a man who robbed an Orangeburg bank Tuesday afternoon.

Captain Mike Adams said a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered the State Credit Union at 1081 Boulevard Avenue around 4:15 p.m. and approached two tellers demanding money. The suspect was able to obtain a small amount of money before fleeing the bank.

The suspect is described as being approximately 25 years old, 6ft. 2in. in height and weighing 190 lbs. He was last seen running from the bank towards Ellis Ave. He was wearing a black over gray shirt with black jeans and a black stocking cap.

The Orangeburg Department of Safety is investigating.
