North Augusta Department of Public Safety and Crimestoppers Announce Partnership
Sunday, July 4, 2010

COLUMBIA, SC - Director John C. Thomas, of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, and Crimestoppers are pleased to announce that North Augusta is now a part of the Crimestoppers program. This partnership will give citizens of North Augusta the opportunity to submit valuable anonymous tips 24 hours a day via telephone, web, or text message. For the public, the use of a single Crimestoppers telephone number is a significant step forward in simplifying the process of anonymously aiding law enforcement in the fight against crime.

The toll free number, 1-888-CRIMESC (1-888-274-6372), will be widely publicized and can be used anonymously to identify and locate suspects, report criminal activity, or provide additional information that would be beneficial in solving a crime.

Director Thomas stated, "The North Augusta Department of Public Safety is excited about partnering with Crimestoppers as we all work collectively towards solving crimes. Crime is a community problem; together we can all make North Augusta a safer community."

If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers. You could earn a reward up to $1,000.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crimestoppers by calling 1-888-CRIME-SC.
